Who We Are

Zaha Technologies Inc was founded in 2009 in Toronto by Ashfaq Ahmad, who saw an opportunity to build a technology consultancy that combined world-class technical capabilities with an intimate understanding of the Canadian business environment. At a time when most enterprises were turning to multinational firms for digital transformation, Ashfaq believed that a Canadian-owned, Canadian-operated firm could deliver superior outcomes by truly understanding the regulatory, linguistic, and cultural nuances that shape technology decisions in this country.

That belief has been validated over fifteen years of consistent growth. Today, Zaha Technologies employs over 200 professionals across offices in Toronto and Vancouver, with a remote operations hub in Milton, Ontario. We have delivered more than 500 projects for organizations ranging from mid-market enterprises to some of Canada's largest public sector institutions and healthcare networks. Our practice areas span data and AI, cloud modernization, healthcare IT, software development, managed services, and unified communications.

Ashfaq founded Zaha Technologies in 2009 with a vision to build a Canadian-owned technology consultancy that could compete with global firms while maintaining a deep understanding of the Canadian market. With over 25 years of experience in enterprise IT, he has led the company from a five-person startup to a national practice with offices across Canada.

Ashfaq Ahmad establishes Zaha Technologies Inc in downtown Toronto with a team of five consultants, focused on delivering enterprise IT consulting to mid-market Canadian businesses.

Zaha crosses the 100-employee milestone and expands bilingual service delivery capabilities, adding strength in AI research and consulting teams serving clients across all Canadian provinces.

Healthcare IT Practice Expansion

In response to unprecedented demand, Zaha rapidly scales its healthcare IT practice, deploying telehealth platforms and remote patient monitoring solutions for dozens of Canadian health organizations.

2022

SOC 2 Certification & Remote Operations

Zaha achieves SOC 2 Type II certification, demonstrating enterprise-grade security and compliance controls, and establishes a remote operations hub in Milton, Ontario to support distributed work delivery.

2024

500th Project Delivered
